Bevor Ihr im Forum postet, schaut nach, ob eure Frage nich schon einmal beantwortet wurde. Es werden keine Fragen zu grundlegenden WordPress Funktionalitäten beantwortet. Dafür gibt es die allgemeinen WordPress Foren und den unschlagbaren WordPress Codex. Außerdem empfehle ich zuerst die Tutorials zu lesen, da dort die meisten Fragen beantwortet werden. Für absolute Anfänger, die bisher wenig mit WordPress gearbeitet haben, empfiehlt es sich, ein paar Euro in das e-Book “Sites that Soar” von Aisling d´Art zu investieren. Das Buch erklärt den Aufbau einer Website anhand von BranfordMagazine Schritt für Schritt. Es ist zwar nur in englisch verfügbar, aber doch sehr einfach und verständlich.

Please make sure your question hasn´t been postet before. I will not answer questions on basic WordPress functionalities because there are general WordPress forums and the amazing WordPress Codex which do this job better. Check out the tutorials. Most of the questions will be answered here. For unexperienced WordPress useres I reccomend to purchase the e-book “Sites that Soar” by Aisling d´Art. This book shows a step-by-step how-to build up a website using WordPress and BranfordMagazinne.

1. Yes it can be done

2. This needs some (or better a lot) customization work which I don´t provide. But with WyntonMagazine i provided a real good basis to do it on your own. Check out the Wynton files (especially the header.php, the nav.css and the dropdown.js)


Yes it needs a little personal engagement. But isn´t that the fun in WordPress ;-)

well what i wanted to do was to have another menu below the one i currently have using my categories, just like how u have it on the wynton theme. one of my categories (all jamaican) has several diff sub-cats that i would want to drop down, can this be done? can you show me the code to do that if yes pls.

yes they are. i dont use them any more i just wrote the code into the sidebar since they wont show up.


my next problem is with the dropdown menu, how do i get it to work? i have the dropdown file in my js folder, now what? i wrote this code into my current theme file

that i saw in your wynton magazine but it doesnt show up as a nice menu that drops down only as a list on my homepage…how do i activate the menu?

i upgraded but in upgrading it says i shud update this file

i dont see that, i was able to update them all except this and im wondering if that is hindering my site somehow cus some things dont work anymore. what folder do i find that file in?

I have just upgraded to wp 2.5 but now my homepage is a mess! all my other pages work but the homepage only shows the top lead article thing no side bar, no content nothing
