Bevor Ihr im Forum postet, lest die Forenregeln. Es werden keine Fragen zu grundlegenden WordPress Funktionalitäten beantwortet. Dafür gibt es die allgemeinen WordPress Foren und den unschlagbaren WordPress Codex. Außerdem empfehle ich zuerst die Tutorials zu lesen, da dort die meisten Fragen beantwortet werden. Für absolute Anfänger, die bisher wenig mit WordPress gearbeitet haben, empfiehlt es sich, ein paar Euro in das e-Book “Sites that Soar” von Aisling d´Art zu investieren. Das Buch erklärt den Aufbau einer Website anhand von BranfordMagazine Schritt für Schritt. Es ist zwar nur in englisch verfügbar, aber doch sehr einfach und verständlich.

Dieses E-Book wird empfohlen für WordPress Neulinge, die BranfordMagazine oder WyntonMagazine verwenden wollen:

The quick answer is: Yes!


You just have to duplicate the template (e.g 3-colums-page-1.php, 3-colums-page-2.php etc.) and change this part of every copy (line 1 - 5)

Template Name: 3-Column-Page
*/
?>

into (example for copy 1)


<?php
/*
Template Name: 3-Column-Page 1
*/
?>

Do the similar for every copy you want to use. Then you just have to change the relevant category IDs in the templates.

I realised that after the event! I had reviewed the tutorial but didn't realise I had to change the “array” to match my category. Like I said, I'm not a programmer and am learning this stuff from scratch. Please bear with me!

I had a problem seeing custom field images on a 3 column page. i had the field created and the images uploaded.


I have resolved the problem which might be useful for other readers.


I had to change the “array” variable in the 3-column-page.php file to match my category ID.
