Most of the questions will be answered here. For unexperienced WordPress useres I reccomend to purchase the e-book “Sites that Soar” by Aisling d´Art. This book shows a step-by-step how-to build up a website using WordPress and BranfordMagazine.

This e-book is highly recommended for new WordPress users who want to use BranfordMagazine or WyntonMagazine.

This forum will be closed down (read only mode) for x-mas and new years holidays. I will answer open topics within the next few days. In January the forum will be fully available again.

My suggestion (and it´s not more than that) is to start with the original values and then change them in little steps to get closer and closer to what you want. Sometimes it´s just 1 pixel that makes or brakes your day

Hi to all

I'm trying to change the width of the sidebar and left/right column accordingly.

I reduced the sidebar width to 200px (50px less than the original theme) in the css file and then I enlarged the width of the left and right column by 25px each. I've got a strange result; the right column goes down the left column and I get an empty space between the left and sidebar column.

After several tests I don't mind how can I accomplish this simple modification… This is the section of the css file I worked in:

#sidebar {/*you guessed it: itï¿½s the sidebar container*/
    width: 180px;
    float:right;
    }

#leftcol {/*the left homepage column carrying the “Featured Article” section*/
    width:287px;
    border-right:1px solid #b6b6b6;
    padding-right:18px;
    }

    float:left
    }

#rightcol {/*actually the column in the middle of the homepage (if the right column is the sidebar)*/
    width:277px;
    padding-left:18px;
    margin-top: -2px;
    text-align:justify;
    }
